Midnight Starr The January Podcast being Exclusively through Skype.

Hello All, I still haven't received any word as to what you all think about doing an entire podcast where you all read your poems through Skype. I don't have a deadline for the response. I just want to know. I wish that my employers will let me take a break and let me right a poem when I am at work, but I can't. I think that I did have an idea for a poem. Plus working nights and sleeping in late will make a poet dead tired. Now I'm giving other poets some ideas for a poem. LOL. Sincerely, Mid… Continue

Midnight Starr Those Internet Gifts.

Hello Everyone, I think that it is a great idea that Ning has just introduced. You can now send those computer gifts to whomever has a poem that you like. That's why I did with Rod's poem "Now." I gave him a microphone icon. These gifts do have points to them too. But it's not the points that count. It's just a nice jester anyway. What do you all think of this idea? Continue

Midnight Starr Midnight' sBirthday

Hello Everyone, Since there wasn't much poetry writing, I still ended up with a podcast. In this month's podcast we have: 1. Missed Opportunity - Unspoken 2. After Autumn - Makar 3. Now - Rod Moffat Since the winner of last month's best poem didn't pick the winner, I had to do it and this month's best poem winner is... Rod Moffat with his poem "Now." I also have a question about changing the format of the podcast. I wanted to do it totally using Skype. I can record live conversations using… Continue

Midnight Starr Got an idea for the next podcast.

Hello Everyone, Since this website has been slow since September, I just thought of another idea on how to get the podcast moving again. I was thinking that I should record all of you reading your own poems via Skype. There is a way for me do that. Now the challenge is time zones. I know that there are some of you that are from Australia. Let me know what you all think of this idea. Sincerely, Midnight Starr Continue

Midnight Starr I Need Some Help Here.

Hello All, I have one simple question to put out to all of you people. It seems like the last couple of weeks, no one, but myself has been putting out some poetry. Now I know that people are busy. So here's the question: What should I do to improve this site and to make other poets join? Sincerely, Midnight Starr Continue

Midnight Starr The Tree Of Life

This poem was written as I am reading an Esoteric book called The Tree Of Life. Again this is a rough draft of the poem. So I do need some input. Especially the last two stanzas. The bible is only a book Full of stories Not taken literally Rather allegorically. The tree of life Is on story, misconstrued. First by word of mouth Then by the written word. The serpent took an apple And gave it to Eve Pressured her to bite it And kick her and Adam Out of the garden. The allegory is… Continue

Midnight Starr Unknown Rapist

You can all respond back to me on how I wrote this poem last night. You can also write back if there is any changes that I have to make with this poem too. The night She calms me Some would think otherwise Like prehistoric humans Today the hungry beasts of the night Is the mythical Unknown rapist Or murderer They are mythical Those unknown rapists Or murderers Unless you are friends with them. Sexual harassment is rape Violating the body Violating self worth Forever in the mind Of the… Continue

Darrell Day Why?

I wrote Mistook because I had a bad experience yesterday at a writer's group meeting. The organizer and I were the only ones who bothered to show. Anyway, the organizer (whose name is Jessica) proceeded to cut me down because of my writing. And here I thought and believed writers and artists were supposed to be opened minded. Calgary is full of narrow minded people w/provincial attitudes. I know you'll say, "They're everywhere". Yeah, I get it. Don't tell me. You read my words and all you see ar… Continue

Darrell Day Mistook

You will not comprehend or "get" me. You will not realize my meaning and motive in my own lifetime. I will have to die for you to finally understand and see. I accept this. I am at peace w/it. My message and hope and purpose is too great, too providential, too mighty and too metaphysically significant for you to behold w/the puny soft manacles of your mind. One day, I will go away. Certainly, a day will arrive when I must leave you and depart for far away sands and distant realms of experience.… Continue

sourav BEEE OOOO TEEE EEEE

"The Beginning of the End" How I love that phrase! like a Mantra it reverberates in-between my ears tingling an exquisite Mood in which I delightfully immerse It lulls my mind into blissful daydreaming of the Final Homecoming and induces a delectable sensation of anticipation for the Cosmic Holiday that is finally approaching; for the Final Vacation, ever since Kindergarten they bundled me to School, With forlorn eyes, I had been pining. Come together my Friends Let us Experience the power of… Continue

Midnight Starr Update on the September Podcast.

Hello All, I just found out that I am going to train for a new job for the next two weeks. Otherwise, I have my days free and not my nights. I am going to do two things next weekend. One is going to a New Age Expo and the other is to promote the Midnight's Muse podcast in another fair or trade show about the arts. So that means that there is going to be a delay on when the next podcast will be out. I usually put it out on the fourth Sunday. But I don't know right. My other problem is finding… Continue

sourav Me, a Meditator Amateur vs an adept Trickster, a cunning Saboteur

Like the unanticipated arrival of a most Irritating Guest, Who's the last person you want at your Dinner Party, Meet Mr. Premature Self Congratulation, He surreptitiously arises, one of the Tricksters whome my mind harbors, (few others being Gloomy Hopelessness, Constant Fickleness - they prevent the shining through of the Light of Higher Self) He's an avatar of Vacuous Vestigial Vanity, tooting the horn of false Spiritual Pride and Mystic Pomposity. He sneaks in unwelcome, at the precise inopp… Continue

Midnight Starr Transitions

Walking home from school One time years ago. Looked on the other side of the road I witnessed something horrible. A Magpie pecked The back of a Robin's head The Robin fell forward dead Face down. I couldn't comprehend the horror Changed my view of Magpies As greedy landlords Getting their way. Years later Getting off the bus After a Shamanic Ritual Rehearsal Another terrible thing happened. This time on a neighbor's tree A Crow chased a Magpie away After it witnessed a murder Another Robin w… Continue

Darrell Day Cool Night Time...

cool night time in the abyss wind in the bowels and mind valley forge to ruin and desolation of the soul- the walls in deep liquid alchemical fire melting steel and stone, menstruel sperm and blood and disease and venom call to mystery the bleeding triumph death in the senses like a cancer the sky becomes a sea of dreams that guides the old wanderer alone on highways through wilderness and pain scarred perceptions of Trust Continue
