I like that one but the allegory is tied in with the tree of good and evil so for myself it fails

Hi M, really like the way you have put this together... for me it provokes thought around "Begining again" but "now"... Cheers mate, R

Hi Musealong

Thanks for the lovely new words - assonance, consonance, sonic.
If I ever knew them they were long forgotten.

I think there are examples of assonance in When Night ends both within lines and within verses (apart from the rhyme). I use alliteration regularly in much of my work too.

Outside all is quiet
The moon rides the sky
It’s inside me
The darkling thoughts fly

If that is what you are meaning

Shade No More and Life's Transient Beauty also have examples. Not much consonance - lol

I can see examples in your writing so I would be interested to know what you think about assonance and alliteration in each of the three poems.

How much of the poem needs to contain assonance, consonance and alliteration to be sonic? Have you posted any fully formed sonic poems on the site? (I haven't read all the postings prior to my joining so I appologise if have missed some of yours)

I would enjoy exploring the full sonic concept.

Hi Musealong, thanks for the welcome... things are great down here, just watched your countryman Phelps make history, "we" almost brought his mission undone, really great to see him achieve and go where no one else has been... should be a great inspiration for a poem Huh? :-) R

Musealong

clawing to freedom

the fingernails, the fingernails in my brain,
they burn they bleed they tear away
left bereft of all feeling
they bleed back down onto the cobwebs
