Midnight's Poetry Muse

Calling all poets!

I lie here, wallowing in my pain.
I see conspiracies surrounding me.
Now I know, my life was all in vain.

Hounded by the flames of hell,
My nerves radiate with pain,
Full of misery, embraced by destiny.

How do I fulfill my prophesy,
And live in this tired, broken vessel,
My love buried deep inside, I cry.

Is it vanity to crave death?
Yet when it knocks, I fear?
Oh great paradox of woe!

Reach my breaking limits,
Why must I publicize my dirty laundry?
Forgive me, students, I know not what I do.

Pride and misfortune, Wrath and pain?
Did my wrath run amok? Is that why the Pain is so much!
Gluttony my burden and my pain relief.

Oh irony! Oh paradox! Oh Heaven and Hell!
How do you live in such a dark and dismal box?
And yet you serve the Light of Love?

Fear not my children,
You will be the ones,
The light has come to find you.
You are the chosen ones!

Free the love within you,
Unburden your soul,
Ask for great forgiveness.

Lest your body, mind and soul,
Pay irony's greatest toll.
Oh why do I always pay the toll?

I try to be meek and mild.
Serve justice and mankind.
Why do I end up hurting people all the blessed time?

Frack it all! Frack this world!
No, no, love will pay the toll.
Love will pay the toll, Okay?

I just want to get away from myself,
And find the true light inside of me,
The patience and the fortitude.

I know it is glowing, why do I make it hide.
I jump to rash conclusions,
Causing great pain.... Patience! Patience!!!

What have you learned, you precious soul?
Have you struggle with your demons today?
When will you realize, all you give you bring into life.

I do not look for lessons
Lessons the universe will bring
I do not fight my demons
To them l leave the warring
I do not seek for answers
Inner wisdom is unfolding
I do embrace my life
Be in this moment all my being
